JOB OVERVIEW:

Customer required a drop in fit replacement end suction pump for fuel loading.

CHALLENGES

• Existing pump model was obsolete and old cast iron options no longer conform to the specifications.

 

SOLUTION:

• Performed flow and pressure tests at different loading requirements to find a suitable pump curve.

• Sourced a new ISO pump, 150x125-500 in Ductile Iron with ANSI 150# flanges.

• Designed and fabricated a custom baseplate to suit existing plinth.

• No pipe or plinth mods required to fit the new pump set.

• Upgraded old EXE motor to EXD to conform to new hazardous area requirements.

• Upgraded old cone ring coupling to non sparking disc spacer coupling.
